Come and try skating with CCR before our Intro course starts. If you have NOT skated with us before, we ask that you sign up to this Come and Try session, so we can meet you, determine your current level of skating, and sort out any gear hire needs ahead of the course (so we can really jump right into it on the first night of the course). This session is also a great opportunity to just have a roll around and see if the vibe is right for you and meet the folks that you would be skating alongside in the course, before committing to the full 8 weeks. There will be plenty of coaches and other helpers on the day. Cost includes gear hire if you need it - please include approximate sizes in the prompts when purchasing your ticket.    If you have skated with us before, or can't make this session, please contact us directly.

Come and celebrate the 2025 season, in style!  There will be food, awards, celebrations galore, and dancing to round out the night!   DRESS:  Dress in your finest formal wear (or semi-formal if that feels better to you), or that outfit you have only worn once (or never worn), or an Op Shop extrordinaire, and celebrate with your league-mates.    EAT AND DRINK: Dinner will be a set entree and main, with a range of desserts. Drinks availble for purchase at the bar.  Entree will be either: Ravioli (no dietaries availble) Penne (GF and Veg/Vegan options) Main will be either: Chicken meal (GF) Eggplant meal (GF and Veg/Vegan options) Meal selection is part of the checkout process.   TIME: Doors open at 6pm. Please make sure you arrive at the Italian Club before 6.30pm, as food will start coming out at this time, and awards start at 6.45pm   Under 16s welcome until 8.30pm. A full ticket will be required.

Pavey is an amazing roller derby athlete who skates for the Victorian Roller Derby League 'All Stars', and recently competed at the World Cup with Team New Zealand. Pavey is coming to coach at Convict City, imparting some jammer (and general game play) wisdom, over the 2 days of the weekend.  The weekend sessions will be open to adults and any juniors 16yo+ with dispensation to play with adults. This session will accommodate all skaters who have passed introduction and have solid fundamental skills. The session will build in contact/ complexity over the time and newer skaters may be asked to watch the remainder toward the second half (but still TBC).   For CCR members that is Pink to Orange.
